Ben Kreimer, a distinguished UNL alum, is a storytelling technologist using drones, 360° video, volumetric capture tools, and 3D virtual and augmented reality to tell stories. He focuses on democratizing emerging technologies by making media tools and their content more accessible to projects, organizations, and audiences. Ben collaborates with journalists, scholars, students, artists, and mission-driven organizations, demonstrating and advising on how to leverage emerging technologies to more effectively tell their stories and create and amplify their work. He is a 2019 Forbes 30-Under-30 honoree for his contributions to the media industry. Currently, Ben is the creative technologist on a National Science Foundation funded project exploring the use of immersive media to support social impact projects.
