A majority-Native panel of experts from the legal and law enforcement communities, moderated by Interim Dean Anna Shavers, will convene to discuss ways that the legal and criminal justice system can address violence against Native women, and the many missing and murdered indigenous women and girls in Nebraska.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Forsythe Family Program on Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs (HRHA), along with other UNL and community partners, will host a week of human rights activities to raise awareness of missing and murdered indigenous women. We invite UNL faculty, students, staff, and members of the community to participate. All events are free.
