Gabby Rivera is a queer Latinx writer living in Oakland, CA. She is currently writing AMERICA, America Chavez’s solo series, for Marvel. America is Marvel’s first Latina lesbian superhero.
Gabby will give a lecture as well as provide a writer’s workshop, speaking on her experiences as QTPOC writer, an LGBTQ youth advocate, and the importance of centering joy in our narratives as Latinx people and people of color.
Free for UNL students with valid NCard, $5 for faculty, staff and public.
