The Global Edge aims to prepare UNL’s international students on how to discover potential Optional Practical Training (OPT) and Curricular Practical Training (CPT) opportunities during their time at UNL. This workshop will include topics like “How to Make the Most out of Career Services,” “Job Search Strategies you Must Use,” and “Becoming a Global Networker.” The Global Edge workshop hopes to pioneer international student support in the form of transforming international students’ perceived employability both during school, and post-graduation. It also looks to be a difference-maker in the lives of those international students who exhibit a desire to be employed in the U.S. either through internships or full-time jobs after graduation.
