According to a recent CDC report, drug overdose deaths in the United States rose 4.6% in 2019 (an increase of 70,980 deaths). Approximately 70% of those deaths were attributed to opioid use. During this Lunch & Learn Series event, we will discuss proper administration of naloxone (also known as Narcan), where and how to obtain the medication in Lincoln, Nebraska, and review common myths of opioid overdose and risks to emergency responders.
If you have any questions or comments beforehand, please feel free to reach out to Joe Caldwell at jcaldwell4@unl.edu.
