Cultural well-being is the ability to respect all aspects of diversity. It includes being aware of one’s own cultural background, as well as the diversity and richness present in other cultural backgrounds. A culturally-well individual understands and appreciates the benefits from diversity in sexual orientation, religion, gender, racial and ethnic backgrounds, age groups, disabilities, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
