One of the key ingredients of social change is white people reflecting on and taking responsibility for internalized white supremacy. Most white people have been socialized in a white supremascist society and have internalized some ideas and behave in ways that reinforce racism. This sesssion will allow participants to increase their consciousness about whiteness and how they can use their consciousness to be more anti-racist.

Introducing the CEHS AFIRE Pledge Program! Faculty and staff in the college will have the opportunity to take a pledge to strive for inclusive excellence in 2020. The pledge will contain a commitment to attend at least three events each semester to increase awareness and knowledge about diversity and inclusion issues and strategies for inclusive excellence.
