“Fates and Furies: What the Humanitarian Crisis on the U.S.-Mexico Border Teaches Us about History and Humanity, Race and Place” presented by Dr. Everard Meade, director of the Trans-Border Institute at the University of San Diego, a leading source of research and public engagement on border issues.

Before the global pandemic and the mass uprising against police violence in the United States, a humanitarian crisis along the U.S.-Mexico border exposed the vulnerability of particular communities to suffering and death at the hand of policymakers and law enforcement in our own backyard.
