Getting feedback from your students about the course at this point in the semester is a little like taking your course’s pulse. Their responses help you understand how your instructional approach is working and what, if any, adjustments might make your teaching more effective.
In this workshop, we’ll focus on the attributes, logistics, and effective use of formative student surveys. Participants will learn how to create surveys in Canvas and will be given time to work on building their own formative surveys while receiving help from instructional designers. Methods of soliciting student feedback will be discussed, and we will share several examples of how instructors have responded to student feedback in order to improve their courses.
If you have additional questions, please contact Eyde Olson at eolson2@unl.edu.
