Radcliffe Bailey—painter, sculptor, and mixed media artist—will talk about his artistic process and career with Tyler Green, host of The Modern Art Notes Podcast.
Through the layering of imagery, culturally resonant materials, and text, Bailey explores themes of ancestry, race, migration, and collective memory. His work creates links between African diasporic histories and potential futures and investigates notions of identity. His mixed media work “Distant Stars II” is on view at Sheldon Museum of Art in the exhibition “Person of Interest.”
Live captions will be available during the virtual program.
