Nebraska AIDS Project offers free, confidential or anonymous HIV testing with same-day results. All people 13 years or older are able to register. Anyone who is sexually active should be tested annually for HIV and common STIs.

Each individual receives a short, private counseling session to discuss potential high-risk behaviors and a chance to ask questions, followed by a finger–poke blood test to test for the Human Immunodeficiency Virus types. The INSTI HIV-1/HIV-2 Rapid Antibody Test is a rapid in vitro qualitative test for the detection of antibodies to Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 and Type 2 in finger-stick blood. The test is FDA approved.
