A Zoom seminar will be presented by Barbara Drolet, research microbiologist at USDA-ARS.
Blood feeding Culicoides biting midges are significant pests of livestock, wildlife, and humans. Additionally, they are competent transmission vectors for orbiviruses, orthobunyaviruses, and rhabdoviruses on a global scale. Our current research focuses on understanding virus-vector-host interactions that underlie virus emergence, transmission and clinical disease.
