The course will address the fundamental concepts of Motivational Interviewing (MI), including the discussion of the atmosphere of change and critical conditions necessary for change to occur. This begins with an introductory session (Mar. 24) to provide the foundation followed later by a skill-building session (Mar. 31, Apr. 15, or Apr. 20, 10 AM-2:30 PM) which builds the skills to shape positive conversations in behavior change.

Introduction to Motivational Interviewing has been approved for 2.0 hours towards CPSS certification. Each Motivational Interviewing Skill Building training has been approved for 4.0 hours towards CPSS certification. Participants are required to attend the entire training(s) to receive certification hours.
