It’s important to communicate to students that effort and persistence can (and will) lead to development and success in a course. In this session, participants will learn what a growth mindset is, how to convey a growth mindset to students, the impact one’s own mindset has on students, and the various ways course materials and interactions can encourage students to adopt a growth mindset. This workshop will be open to all instructors at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
