Katie Edwards, associate professor, CYFS and educational psychology, and Emily Waterman, IVRL faculty affiliate, will outline definitions, statistics, causes and consequences of teen dating violence and sexual violence, and will provide an overview of strategies to reduce dating and sexual violence in youth and promote recovery among victims.
The event will feature discussion of strategies to reduce violence and promote recovery of young victims, as well as networking and collaboration opportunities among attendees, which will include educators, practitioners, advocates and others who work with Nebraska middle school- and high school-age youth.
