For our July Seminar Series event, the Rural Drug Addiction Research (RDAR) Center will highlight the work of both Dr. Yan Wang, associate professor of epidemiology at the University of Florida, and Dr. Bilal Khan, co-director of the LNC Facility at the RDAR Center.
Dr. Wang will present their current NIAAA funded project, which aims to validate a newly developed wrist-worn alcohol biosensor (BACtrack Skyn) in both laboratory and field settings and examine whether the biosensor works equivalently for persons living with or without HIV. Connecting with Dr. Wang’s talk, Dr. Khan will describe ODIN, a new platform designed to collect self-reported, contextual data from large cohorts over long time-scales.
