The UNL Microbiology Research Symposium will held this Friday, November 12th from 3-5pm in the Beadle Auditorium. https://microbiology.unl.edu/symposium-registration.
The agenda is as follows:
3:00 – 3:45pm – Poster Session in Beadle Atrium – Presenters will be available
3:45 – 4:30pm – Featured Speaker, Dr. Jasmine R. Marcelin of UNMC, “A MARVELous Look at Bugs, Drugs, Education & Career Development Through a Lens of Equity”
4:30 – 5:00pm – Networking at posters
We highly encourage faculty/staff/graduate students/undergraduates to participate in this event to share ongoing microbiology related research and activity on the UNL campus. If your students recently presented a poster, please have them present here as well! This is also a great venue to recruit eager undergraduates into your research laboratory. The Microbiology 101 class will be attending to learn more about research as an experiential learning opportunity. Please print and share or forward the attached flyer. See email below for details.
The keynote presentation will be delivered at 3:45 by Jasmine R. Marcelin, MD, FACP, FIDSA, Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Associate Medical Director, Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, and Co-Director, Digital Innovation and Social Media Strategy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
“A MARVELous Look at Bugs, Drugs, Education and Career Development Through the Lens of Equity”
The symposium is free and open to all Microbiology-affiliated faculty, staff, graduate, and undergraduate students. We encourage broad participation.
