The Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film Design and Technology area will have work on display in the lobby of the Temple Building, located at 12th and R streets, for Open Studios. The event is free and open to the public. The Open Studios hours on Friday will be 6-9 p.m. The gallery will remain on display in the lobby through Dec. 15.

“Open Studios is a celebration of student work made during this semester, as opposed to portfolio review in the spring, which celebrates the individual student throughout their career here,” said J.D. Madsen, associate professor of scenic design and the head of Design and Technology in the Carson School. “The displays will be set up by project, or course or production to see the variety of artistic responses and practices.”

In addition, at 7:30 p.m., the senior performance majors will be presenting “Objectivity: The Solo Performance Project,” which are 10 original devised solo performances, in the Lab Theatre (3rd floor of the Temple Building).

“This project, written and performed by these talented students is a free event and should not be missed,” said David M. Long, associate professor of theatre and head of performance in the Carson School.
