Join Big Red Resilience and Well-being for a Big Red Pawp-Up with Uplifting Paws Therapy Dogs. Research studies have shown that exposure to therapy dogs on college campuses reduces stress and anxiety for students: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/05/210512083409.htm.
In this new program, certified therapy dog teams will visit both City and East Campus once per month and be available to students, faculty, and staff. Abbey Ragain, Suicide Prevention Program Coordinator, will coordinate the City campus visits, and Erin Bauer, Graduate Lecturer and wellness coordinator for the Entomology Department, will coordinate the East Campus ones. The organization Uplifting Paws will provide the therapy dog teams.
Come pet a dog and de-stress!
