My lab studies the physical basis that underlies how intrinsically disordered proteins and protein regions drive biologically important functions. Disordered regions lack a fixed 3D structure yet play essential roles across almost every aspect of eukaryotic cell biology. We combine simulations, theory, informatics, and experiments with a particular interest in understanding self-assembly, evolution, and molecular recognition in disordered proteins.
