Our lab is interested in how cells respond to metabolic stress. We have a long-standing interest in how inter-organelle crosstalk and changes in lipid metabolism enable cell adaptation to nutrient challenges. My talk will discuss our work examining how nutrient restriction promotes changes in lipid droplets (LDs), including changes to their lipid phase properties, and how nutrient deprivation alters the LD proteome.
