Cecil R. Reynolds earned his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia under
the tutelage of Dr. Alan S. Kaufman with a major in School Psychology
and minors in Statistics and Clinical Neuropsychology. He is the author
of more than 300 scholarly publications and author or editor of more
than 50 books including The Energetic Brain and the Handbook of Clinical
Child Neuropsychology. He has authored more than 40 commercially
published tests including the Behavior Assessment System for Children, the
Reynolds Intellectual Assessment Scales, and the Test of Memory and
Learning.

Dr. Reynolds is a diplomate in Clinical Neuropsychology from the
American Board of Professional Neuropsychology and in Pediatric
Neuropsychology from the American Board of Pediatric
Neuropsychology. He has served as president of both boards. He was
elected a Distinguished Practitioner and Fellow of the National
Academies of Practice in 2012 and served as Chief of the
Neuropsychology Service at Sandstone Psychiatric Hospital before
retiring from clinical work to extend his forensic practice and publishing
work. In 2021, he was noted in Stanford’s list of the top 2% of scientists
in the world, based on quantitative analyses of the impact of published
works. He is Emeritus Professor of Educational Psychology, Professor of
Neuroscience, and Distinguished Research Scholar at Texas A&M
University. He continues to write and to practice forensic neuroscience
in Austin, Texas.
