Xinnian Dong is an Arts & Sciences Professor of Biology and a HHMI investigator who studies the immune mechanisms of plants. Her lab’s research at Duke University has led to the discovery of multiple key immune regulators and signaling pathways. During her seminar, she will present her recent work on how plant immune responses are precisely regulated and how this knowledge can be applied in agriculture to engineer broad-spectrum disease resistance in crops.
