The Office of Research and Economic Development is offering a two-part virtual workshop on November 29 to aid faculty in designing effective research impact plans. The event will help faculty 1) understand how different funding agencies, including NSF, USDA, and others, approach the broader societal impacts of research, and 2) learn how the concept of impact identity enables scholars in all disciplines to leverage their strengths and values to maximize the impact of their work. The workshop will also present examples of successful research impact strategies used by faculty at UNL and elsewhere.
The first session, Research Impacts 101, is 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., and the second session, Developing Your Impact Identity, is 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Participants may attend one or both of the training sessions.
For more information, contact research impact coordinator Jocelyn Bosley at jbosley@unl.edu.
