My lab investigates biochemistry in living cells, with the goal to understand how cellular perturbations alter biochemical processes in healthy and disease states. We are especially interested in probing dynamics of RNAs and proteins on a single cell level over time. Recently, we have established a fluorescence system to label and track RNA molecules in live cells with multiplexing capabilities. Current efforts are underway to apply our expanding toolbox of fluorescent RNAs to increasingly complex model systems and biochemical questions.
