RJA members, who identify as people of color and White allies, meet to understand, recognize, and interrupt racism(s) within a community of care and safety. We hold space for members to unpack microaggressions and hurtful or confusing experiences with race and racism.
If you are interested in joining the Racial Justice Alliance or collaborating with us, please email rja@unl.edu.
Who are we, and what do we do?
We are a group of peers from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln who care deeply about racial justice and equity. We believe that racism is a socially-constructed issue woven into every aspect of society over centuries of colonization, imperialism, and oppression, resulting in tangible, measurable impacts on society.
We meet to discuss topics about racial justice, with a commitment to looking in the mirror and putting our learning into action in our lives. We engage with local organizations to amplify voices of color and support local activism.
