Carole Levin and Patricia A. Simpson discuss the exhibition “Beyond Eve and Mary: Premodern Representations of Gender, Power, and Religion,” which they co-organized and which inspired the adjacent exhibition “Reigning Queens: Modern and Contemporary Representations of Women, Power, and Religion.”
Levin is Willa Cather Emerita Professor of History and Simpson is professor of German at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
