The Kit and Dick Schmoker Reading Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Shayne Piasta to present “The Science of Reading: Misperceptions, Possibilities, and Future Directions.”
The presentation will address pressing issues in the current reading research and teaching climate. Dr. Piasta is a Professor of Reading and Literacy in Early and Middle Childhood in the Department of Teaching and Learning and a faculty associate at the Crane Center for Early Childhood and Policy at Ohio State University.
The event is part of the Reading Center’s 15th anniversary celebration and an opportunity to bring together reading scholars from across the UNL community to discuss the scholarship of reading.
