Hydroponics for Growing Populations (PLAS 307) students invite you to come explore hydroponic prototypes and demonstration systems at the Plant Science Teaching Greenhouse. There will be two opportunities to visit different student groups and learn about their uniquely developed hydroponic prototypes and specialty crops from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 and Thursday, Dec. 4.
Come be amazed at the diversity of approaches in which plants can be grown, including fresh greens, fruits, and edible flowers! Systems include deep water, thin film, Bato bucket, raft, tower, and gutter culture, just to name a few. Students will share their innovative approaches and provide background on system designs.
Just slip over to the Plant Science Teaching Greenhouse and enter the NORTH DOOR immediately across from Animal Science (3855 Fair Street).
As a BONUS EXPERIENCE, come enjoy some SEASONAL TIDBITS as you enjoy the warmth of our cozy greenhouse.
