Open Teaching Apiary times are an informal, unstructured gathering of members of the Great Plains Master Beekeeping program. There will be brief demonstrations, questions and answers, and time to get hands-on experience with beehives. Each session will consist of conducting hive inspections and making seasonal management decisions.

Registration is required.

Topic: Overwintering in Northern Climates: Overwintering can be intimidating process. At this workshop we will show you how to set your hives up with winter equipment exactly as we do. This system has been taught by Dr. Adam over the last 10 years and results in averages of winter losses of less than 10 percent for most.
