Petra Uhlmann is head of the department Nanostructured Materials of Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung (Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research) Dresden, Germany. She had an appointment as Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at UNL from 2014-2020. Furthermore she is chairperson of the scientific board and member of the steering committee of Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft für Oberflächenbehandlung e.V., (German Research Society of Surface Treatment) Neuss, Germany.
Dr.Petra studied Chemistry at Dresden University of Technology and got her PhD at the Institute of Physical and Electrochemistry, TU Dresden, Germany. She spent a year as Post-doc at CNRS Mulhouse, France and 3 months as visiting scholar at the University of Lisbon, Portugal, from September until November 2023.
Dr. Petra’s research interests comprise nanostructured polymer and hybrid surfaces and, films and their applications, physical chemistry of surfaces and interfaces, characterization of (nanostructured) surfaces, as well as nano-biointerfaces, energy materials and polymer batteries.
