Join the Center for Transformative Teaching during the spring semester for an engaging series of digital accessibility workshops designed to build practical skills and in-depth understanding of accessibility best practices. This series includes a blend of tutorial workshops and practice sessions, offering participants hands-on learning opportunities to make their digital course content more inclusive and accessible.
Workshops: These workshops provide step-by-step guidance on key accessibility principles, covering topics like document structure, color contrast, alternative text, and more.
Practice Sessions: In these interactive sessions, participants will work on making their own course documents accessible. These guided practice sessions offer a collaborative environment to troubleshoot challenges and receive personalized feedback from instructional designers
Whether you’ve been working to make your courses more accessible or are completely new to implementing digital accessibility, this series will equip you with practical skills to make a meaningful impact. Join us to learn, practice, and advocate for digital accessibility!
All workshops will take place from 1:30 – 3:00 pm on Zoom. All sessions will be hands-on, and you will be working with provided examples as well as your own course content. For sessions on a specific program, you should have the desktop application of the program installed (for example, in the Word session you will need to use the desktop Word application, not the browser version).
