The Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) is in the process of starting a brand new apprenticeship program for undergraduates focused on training future research administrators. Major components of this program include creating curriculum to teach these select students on the seven pillars of Research Enterprise (research development, research administration, research compliance, research finance, research communications, project management, and technology transfer), spending three semesters with a specific unit, and additional opportunities for career development.
