Climate Change and Landscape Evolution in the Nebraska Sandhills

This talk will discuss efforts to identify how prehistoric droughts shaped the Nebraska Sand Hills in the past ~ 20,000 years. Recent research efforts use ground-penetrating radar to see inside the dunes, and optically stimulated luminescence dating to decipher when the dunes in the Sand Hills were actively moving will be discussed.
