SUMMARY:Introductory Husker Hydroponics Workshop

DESCRIPTION:Stacy Adams\, University of Nebraska–Lincoln professor of pra
 ctice in agronomy and horticulture\, will hold a hydroponics workshop open
  to the public from 9 a.m. to Noon\, March 8 at the Plant Science Teaching
  Greenhouse classroom on the East Campus. \n\nHydroponics is the technique
  of growing plants using a water-based nutrient solution rather than soil.
  Adams teaches the Hydroponics for Growing Populations class at the univer
 sity. \n\nThis introductory workshop is for beginners to learn about\, exp
 lore and create their own hydroponic prototype. \n\n“This will be an opp
 ortunity to see hydroponic systems in use and explore essential tools for 
 anyone to be successful with growing their own plants hydroponically\,” 
 Adams said. \n\nThe three-hour workshop will be limited to 16 participants
