Employer Information: FDIC bank examiners determine if financial institutions follow safe-and-sound banking practices, implement effective internal procedures, and comply with consumer protection laws. This work is critical to the FDIC’s mission of maintaining stability and public confidence in the nation’s financial system.
Hiring paths include the Financial Institution Specialist, a full-time examiner training program. This program places you on the front lines of America’s banking and financial services industry, performing mission-critical work and traveling the country.
As an intern in the Financial Management Scholar program, you will get an in-depth, firsthand experience with how the FDIC supervises banks and accomplishes its mission.
