This 3.5 hour, highly interactive workshop will walk participants through the backward design process from writing course goals all the way up to brainstorming learning experiences. We will work through the process using materials that will help visualize the overall map of a course and help ensure alignment throughout. Participants also have the opportunity to collaborate on and get feedback on a course map from other faculty as well as instructional designers.
All instructors will benefit from this workshop whether they are designing a new course or redesigning an existing one. Course mapping gives you a “birds eye view” of a course that helps you visualize how things fit together.
Times and Locations:
July 6th from 1-4:30 pm City Campus Union Platte River Room South
August 10th, from 12:30-4:00 pm City Campus Union Platte River Room South
