Thomas Horky is this year’s Roper Fund visiting sportswriter. Horky is a professor of sport communication at Macromedia University in Hamburg and a visiting professor at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He’ll be at CoJMC in August and September to teach a 1 credit pop-up course called “European Sports and Media: The 2022 Football World Cup” During his Knowledge on Tap discussion he’ll share how students will gain an in-depth understanding of European sports media and what is found in other nations and continents when they take his course.
