This Cooper Conversation will feature a panel of local photographers and storytellers showcasing the beauty and diversity of Nebraska’s ecosystems. Attendees will also tour the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Howard G. Buffett Gallery, which currently features a photo exhibit on conservation. This conversation will be moderated by Dr. Larkin Powell, Director of the School of Natural Resources and Professor of Conservation Biology/Animal Ecology, and will feature three panelists from Platte Basin Timelapse:
• Dakota Altman, Producer & Instructor: Dakota finds passion through photography as a means to bridge disciplines and cultivate meaningful relationships with the natural world.
• Emma Balunek, Graduate Student: Emma is a graduate student studying the coyote and badger hunting relationship in prairie dog colonies in grasslands across the west.
• Ethan Freese, Producer & Photographer: Ethan is a photographer passionate about prairies and wetlands and he hopes to use photography to show others the value of these under-appreciated ecosystems.

Light refreshments will be served.

The event is hosted in collaboration with Global Affairs. All are welcome to attend! Please RSVP by Friday, February 7.
