 letes featured in a new exhibit opening in Love Library. Presenting action
 -packed historical photos and archival documents Opportunity & Opposition\
 : A Century of Women’s Athletics at the University of Nebraska traces th
 e rich and complex history of women’s athletics from an 1883 petition fo
 r equivalent opportunities through the initial impact of Title IX. The exh
 ibit highlights how prevailing ideas about women and competition\, adminis
 tration of women’s athletics\, and funding decisions shaped opportunitie
 s. In addition\, quotes from the athletes themselves and items they create
 d provide insights into how they viewed sports as part of college life.\n\
 nOpportunity & Opposition opens on the second floor of Love Library South 
 on March 10\, 2023 and is free and open to the public. It was curated by a
 ssistant professor of practice and outreach archivist Traci Robison and de
 signed by graphic designer Erin Colonna.\n\nThis exhibit is free and open
