We are Bill and Tammy George and we own and operate Crooked Hill Beekeeping. We sponsor this Open Apiary for the Great Plains Master Beekeeping program managed by University of Nebraska at Lincoln NE. Tammy and I have been beekeeping for approximately 15 years and are both master beekeeping candidates in the program. All of our Open Apiary sessions include work in a live beehive and mite control practices, to include a mite wash and discussion about appropriate responses to the results of the mite wash. Each open apiary is based on the season and what is normally needed in an apiary for that time of year
