The 2016 State 4-H Horse Expo will be held July 10-14 at Fonner Park in Grand Island. The State 4-H Horse Exposition is the pinnacle experience for Nebraska 4-H horse exhibitors. Youth participate in the state level horse show, hippology contest, and horse judging contest. The horse show includes a multitude of classes for youth and their horses, such as halter and showmanship classes for all youth and advanced level classes requiring prequalification. There are additional activities held at the Expo, including the Corral Your Future hosted by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a teen dance for exhibitors.
