“Saturn’s Moon Titan: Familiar and Strange” presented by Rebecca Harbison, assistant professor of practice, Department of Physics and Astronomy.
Come take a virtual tour of Saturn’s largest moon, Titan. What is the landscape of a world like when it is nearly 300 below zero Fahrenheit? The Cassini spacecraft showed us a world with such familiar things as lakes and sand dunes, but under conditions where the stones are solid ice and the rain is natural gas.
Science Cafe is a casual, educational and entertaining series presented by Morrill Hall in collaboration with local craft beer bar, The Happy Raven. Each month, attendees ages 21+ can hear from scientists, ask questions and offer opinions in this informal setting. Food is available for purchase from the Gilded Swine and a cash bar is available.
