Artist Chuck Schroeder has a kaleidoscope career. From leadership positions in politics, industry, art, Western culture and higher education, he has engaged with people from U.S. presidents and CEO’s to cowboys, scientists, artists, horn players and guitar pickers from around the world. He’s also enjoyed ranching, roping, judging major livestock shows, and raising Quarter Horses.
His life is now focused on creating a legacy of drawings and paintings reflecting his respect for those people and places whose character, ground and honed over time, can provide guidance and inspiration for generations to come. The “Elders: Character Over Time” exhibition includes a broad variety of human subjects from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds; historic churches and other adobe structures. Chuck’s work is on display at NIC in the Link (2nd Floor) from January 14-March 1. The exhibition is free and open to the public daily from 7:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
