An assistant professor of international history at the London School of Economics, Black will speak about her new book, “The Global Interior: Mineral Frontiers and American Power” (Harvard University Press, 2018), which explores an American project of global extraction spearheaded by the U.S. Department of the Interior in the twentieth century.
