Lincoln Friends of Chamber Music and the Glenn Korff School of Music will join forces in a concert to present the world premiere of “Time and the River.” Composed by Kurt Knecht (UNL DMA 2009), the work is inspired by and incorporates the images from the Platte Basin Timelapse project of Michael Forsberg and Michael Farrell.

“Time and the River” will be conducted by Dr. Knecht and performed by nine members of the Glenn Korff School of Music—The Moran Woodwind Quintet: John Bailey, flute; Alan Mattingly, Horn; Diane Barger, clarinet; Jeffrey McCray, bassoon; William McMullen, oboe; David Neely, violin; Clark Potter, viola; Karen Becker, cello and Hans Sturm, bass. The program will include performance of additional chamber works by the GKSOM faculty.
