Sarah Deer, a leading researcher and advocate on the issue of violence against Native women, will deliver remarks on how we can address these injustices. Before her remarks, we will show a short film to sensitize listeners to the issue of missing and murdered indigenous women. After her remarks, she will take questions from the audience. Her remarks will be followed by a reception and meet and greet, which will begin at 8:30 pm in the Heritage Room.
