In the model of OASIS’s safe spaces to discuss current events, UNITE will lead a discussion of how violence against Native people impacts the UNL community and beyond, and of students’ personal perspectives on the challenges that Native people face. Before the discussion, there will be a short video to sensitize participants on issues of violence against Native people.
We will serve free pizza and give away free t-shirts!
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Forsythe Family Program on Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs (HRHA), along with other UNL and community partners, will host a week of human rights activities to raise awareness of missing and murdered indigenous women. We invite UNL faculty, students, staff, and members of the community to participate. All events are free.
