We’re taking “Great Plains Research” on the road! Join recent journal article authors to learn about their research in a casual, science-cafe style atmosphere. These talks are free and open to the public.

Topic: “Immigration, Threat, and Trust in Government in Changing Rural Communities”
By Brian R. Hanson, Thomas A. Ringenberg, and Juan L. Urbano

After surveying residents from four Great Plains communities with growing immigrant populations, the authors argue that anti-immigrant attitudes partially shape rural Americans’ trust in Congress and the federal government.
