This annual, free Minority Health Disparities Initiative Conference is designed to evaluate the effects of social determinants of health and better understand current trends and issues surrounding said determinants among marginalized populations; to discover and share ideas that promote inclusive and healthy spaces, access to healthcare, and progressive health policy; and to engage in collaborative conversations about cutting-edge programming that focuses social determinants of health as a lens through which we view well-being. MHDI will also hold a panel addressing anthropogenic climate change, and, specifically, how its effects can produce adverse health outcomes in already vulnerable populations throughout Nebraska and the Midwest (as well as what can be done about it).
